~Teen Issue Blog~0

On the website Youth Noise, I ran across an article about a teenager talking about her definition of education, and she stated that” her school is just an over exaggerated school that other schools is trying too become like. In this case I think that that may be true but it’s good that she attends an school that cares and pushes people verses a school that really don’t care. I think that education is everything now, some may say money but if you want money then you have too have education to receive an well paying job. My other opinion is that If people don’t want to learn then they shouldn’t force them because I mean hey then there’s more and better opportunities for those who wants to learn. I say this because most of the time the people that don’t want to learn act a fool to try to hide behind the guilt and pain.

~Imani all mine~0

Imani all mine was one of my favorite books that have read this year so far. The reason being is because it’s believable to me. The other books that we have read were okay but in my eyes was this was the best hands down. The protagonist Tasha encountered a lot of  conflicts like she was raped and got pregnant, obesity. Her father died at work and she lived in a bad neighborhood with a lot of drug dealers and gang violence people. When her father died her life started too get worse her mother worked all the time and barely made ends meet. The most interesting part about this story is at the end when her lovely daughter Imani got shot and Killed and at the end when she was in church she found out she was pregnant. I really enjoyed this book not only because it seemed believable as I said early but it talks a lot about teen pregnancy and violent neighborhoods some of the most problems that’s on the rise in today’s society. I really couldn’t relate too any of the characters in the story because the things she has gone through it hasn’t happened to me. The overall theme of the book I can say is loved your loved one because in a blink of an eye they can be taken away from you. That theme is very truth because another day isn’t guaranteed.

                            Woodside Wolverine Café

When I walked into the Woodside Café, I saw food fights left too right, people fighting over the last couple of chicken nuggets, and then you have the loud unclassy girls that walk in looking tore up from the floor up. They walk up in the cafeteria ready too fight but the security always seems too stop it. Then when you finally make it out of the ridiculously long lines, then your ready too get your sauce people are crowded around you   and pushing you, then that’s another fight waiting too happen. Well welcome too the Woodside Wolverine Café at 12345 Woodside lane, Newport News, Virginia. They main type of food they have is American, but sometimes they switch it up due too the blue plate special like they might have fried rice or something. This Café have been there for eleven years. I think that this café isn’t that bad of a place, the people can  make it a bad place because they don’t know how too act but overall the food is okay if you’re into French fries, and chicken patties.

In the café I have tried every dish from the deli subs too the chicken patties and blue plates with spaghetti and casseroles. When I have eaten there most of the time the food was fresh and hot.   I think that the portions are big enough it gets you full really quick. The rest of the menu is just about the same as everything else; everything has French fries and fried food. Yes, I actually was interested in trying the meatball subs, beef pasta. I also was interested in trying the hot mushroom burger melts and stuff like that. The service at this place wasn’t that great it could’ve been better, I think that some of the workers have attitudes and don’t smile or anything. When you get too the cashiers that’s when somebody show you some type of respect or that they happy you have been here with their services. The tables are clean most of the time but sometimes you have too clear it yourself, and you would think you get free refills but unfortunately you don’t it’s a  dollar and twenty five cents for everything else. The bill came quickly because you pay when you’re leaving out the line!

The neatness and cleanness of the café could’ve been better but it wasn’t really that bad, but the bathrooms can be awful at times, but of course that was some of the customers who didn’t have any class. There was no music playing at the café, but sometimes the television would be playing. I wouldn’t recommend anyone trying to have a birthday party there because you never know what’s going too go down at that place. No it’s not a good place for a large group of people because it’s always crowded. I think that if they make it like “Olive Garden,” as where as you have waits it would be better than just walk-ins  like it’s a hair or nail salon. I also think that they should have more food for people that’s trying too watch their diet, although they do have subs but that’s a lot of bread and mayonnaise, but overall it’s okay but not great.

*Keyshia Cole*2

keyshia-cole-bt01.jpg

Keyshia Cole was born October 15,1981 in Oakland, California

Keyshia Cole was dragged in and out due to her mother not being there from drugs and prostitution.

She and her sister had too get it how they live because their mother wasn’t their and they needed money too live.

Her sister has an alcohol problem, which makes her talk crazy about giving up her kids.

One reason why I think she’s so fascinating about her is what she have been through and that she have overcame those obstacles.

The things that Keyshia   have achieved is  made a better life for her and her family, and that have made a very big impression too me.
